Okay, kids. It's time for a quick little school time exercise. Ready? (I expect you to actually do this. I'm watching you.)
So.... raise your hand if you like food.
Now. Raise your hand if you like helping out those who are less fortunate.
Okay, now despite your good intentions, raise your hand if you consider yourself lazy.
(Yes... I'm talking to you.)
Guess what? You're in luck, my little hand raisers!
The good folks at Allens Inc., the parent brand of Popeye's Spinach and a national leader in canned and frozen veggies since 1926, is donating a can of spinach to the North Texas Food Bank for every new Facebook fan they get in the month of October.
It's part of their "I Yam What I Yam, Donate a Can" virtual food drive. And you know how I do love a good and cheesy play on words.
So, go to the Allens Facebook page, click 'like' and BAM - they'll donate a can of super human and totally nutritious Popeye's Spinach to the North Texas Food Bank.
You're helping out the community and, unless you're really out of shape, that little click of the mouse won't even cause you to break a sweat.
